Experience: John Alexander is a seasoned professional with a strong background in finance, governance, and strategic planning. He brings a wealth of experience in investment oversight, capital management, and organizational leadership. John is actively involved in initiatives that support innovation and economic development in New Brunswick, including his current role with NBIF. He is passionate about contributing to the growth and success of post-secondary education in the province.
Behind the Scenes: Outside of work, I’m passionate about staying active and connected to nature. This summer, I completed the full 66km Fundy Footpath — my third hike over 50km — which reflects my love for endurance challenges and the outdoors. I also train regularly with York County CrossFit and enjoy Hot Yoga at The Nest, which helps me stay grounded and focused.
In quieter moments, I turn to more mindful hobbies like painting and wood whittling. These creative outlets give me space to reflect and recharge, and they’ve become an important part of my personal balance.
